Middle school student Sam Dobry and LA City Councilmember Mitchell Englander kick off the Fall 2012 Community Clean up at the Shepherd of the Hills starting location. Sam thanked the event sponsors, which included Walmart, Trader Joe's and Ralphs for providing food for the event. He explained that he really loved to do these events since he was a little kid. His purpose in encouraging students to participate is to teach them how wrong it is to do graffiti and be involved in gangs. Instead, he wants them to see the benefits of working with the police and helping their community, and get a good job in life and be successful!
