FROM AQMD: The South Coast AQMD received six proposals in response to RFP 2021-12 “Develop a Real-Time Air Monitoring Network and Symptom and Incident Reporting System in Porter Ranch and the Communities Surrounding the Southern California Gas Aliso Canyon Gas Storage Facility”.
All proposals were reviewed by an expert panel that included two South Coast AQMD scientists and two outside technical-qualified subject matter experts. After completing this process the expert panel unanimously selected ARGOS/UCLA on June 8 as the contractor to implement the Aliso Canyon Air Monitoring Project. South Coast AQMD staff is currently working on finalizing the scope of work and contract with the vendors.
Once those materials are finalized and a timeline is established South Coast AQMD staff would like to hold a community meeting to present the details of the project and answer questions from the community. The contract is expected to be executed in mid-August once the South Coast AQMD has received funds from the Aliso Funding Committee.
