At one of the recent PRNC meetings, a stakeholder brought up a concern about the basketball courts being too slippery at the Holleigh Bernson Park. The Councilman's Office was present and had the City investigate the courts. They were deemed to be too slipperty and were subsequently closed.
The PRNC has continued to follow up with the Councilman's Office, who reports that the Department of Recreation and Parks has decided to move forward with a complete refurbishment of the courts. The project should begin in mid to late August 2011. They will be pulling up the concrete and putting in asphalt. The total project should take 2 weeks to complete.
